Whether you’re staying up with the kids, or celebrating a countdown to noon on New Year’s Eve, these word search puzzles are a fun way to engage the kids for a little while. Both word searches are filled with themed words related to festivities and the excitement of the new year.
These activity sheets are even more fun to do as a family! To make the word searches more challenging, you can set timers, or make it a race to see who can find them all the fastest!
Or, simply take your time and use these as fun and relaxing puzzles to solve while you pass the time.

Printable New Year’s Word Searches

Happy New Year Word Search: 10 Words
This smaller word search is a great option for beginning readers. The puzzle contains 10 words that are easy for younger kids to read. Also, there are no diagonal words.
New Year’s Word Search: 20 Words
There are 20 New Year’s Eve words hidden in this puzzle! Can you find them all? Grab this printable for stronger readers who are up for more of a challenge. The words in this puzzle go every way except backwards (vertically, horizontally, and diagonally).
